Mount Patuha is located at
Ciwidey region Bandung Regent. This mount
is the oldest Mount at West Java. Patuha
have the meaning the old man.
Based on the history note, Mount
Patuha had erupted twice at X and XII Century. After the volcano from this
mount, there were beautiful crater and lake. At the area there were ancestral
graves such as Eyang Jaga Satru, Rangsa Sadana, Eyang Camat, Eyang Ngabai,
Eyang Barakbak and Eyang Jambrong. The spirit of ancestral always gathered and
met every Friday Kliwon night at the top mountain.
At 1873 the Dutch man have
researched and found that at the mount have content many sulfur. He had built
sulfur factory which named Zwavel Ontginning. ( Source : Poskota )
